Have You Got Your Dose Of Samminess?

Breaking News: A month thus goes by where CSB didn't see any new post, first time ever since its inception!

Haha, I know I'm announcing it as if it is some commendable achievement. Honestly speaking, I wanted at least one post to be up during June. Sadly, that didn't happen. And now I feel like I lost the touch to blog. Don't worry, this is not a good-bye post even though I did see a possibility of that happening. But you know what? I love blogging too damn much to do something terrible like that. Also I don't want my readers to realize how serene their life could be if they did not have their "irregular dose of samminess" (as Whippy puts it. :P)

At last I'm moving out from my city.. Yes! Finally! If you had been following (stalking) my blog for quite long, you would know how much I wanted something like this to come about. And I'm gonna be based in one of the happening metros of India - just what the doctor prescribed for spicing up my unfabulous social life. But as they say, I can't have the cake and eat it too. What I would be sacrificing are the luxury and the privacy that I am so used with at home. But then if it gets compensated with oodles of mind-blowing sex, I don't mind.

Naah! Just kidding! :D

Anyway, I should find some good internet cafes to satiate my online escapades. I recently discovered how convenient and feasible it is to post on twitter from mobile and the best part is I don't have to rely on the cafes.

I'm sure by now all must have heard about the recent Delhi High Court's judgement to amend Section 377 of the IPC and decriminalize private consensual sex between adults of the same sex. Even though the new rule cannot be implemented immediately, (coz the parliament now needs to take decision to amend the law and we can also expect religious fanatics and the so-called Indian-culture-saviours moving to the Supreme Court to revoke the High Court's judgement) with the debates and discussions happening in news channels and the editorials and features coming in newspapers and magazines, Indians are exposed to the topic of homosexuality like never before.

By the way, India also gets a new national gay and lesbian magazine. Pink Pages is an online magazine which is free to subscribe. Without sounding too swellheaded, lemme also add that I was fortunate to have the opportunity to design the logo as well as the cover for this magazine. I thank the Editor-In-Chief of Pink Pages, Nipun Goyal for motivating and pushing, and for having complete faith in me. For those who haven't heard about Nipun, he is a writer and gay activist from India and it was he who wrote the article,
"Love Me For Who I Am", which appeared last year in The Times Of India. He also maintains a blog called Rainbow Rays. Head over to http://www.pink-pages.co.in/ for the very first issue of Pink Pages!

From this month's Men's Health India: The NGO Humsafar Trust says the number of gays, lesbians and transgenders in India is close to 70 million.

Sam recommends: Check out the latest entry into print magazines targeted towards young India, Yuva - a fortnightly. You can also read the previous issues at their site.

How Out Is Your Underwear?

The other day, Phoebe and her friend wanted to browse shoes just like that and they dragged me into a shop. After standing beside them for a minute, I realized I'm feeling weird looking at those shoes, some of which could shy even the most flamboyant gays. Wisdom kicked in and I moved towards the men's section.

As I was eyeing through the shelves, I saw this guy crouching and leaning forward to find something from the bottom-most rack. He wore baggy jeans and his underwear was pretty much flaunting by itself. And the more he leaned forward, the more his jeans got pulled down and I think if he tried harder, his jeans could have successfully ruptured that last bit of overlapping with the briefs. Aah! These are the moments where I wished I were invisible so I could intrepidly watch someone giving me a tease in public.

It's obvious that he loved flashing his undies. But to whom! Gals?

I asked Phoebe, the supreme judicious one whom I always turn to, if a situation needs me to decode the ever puzzling female mind. (Like, for instance.. if a gal is comfortable enough to tell you that she needs to pee, she most probably knows that you are gay.)

"Do gals find it sexy when a guy shows off his briefs?"

"No way! If guys believe chicks dig that, we are sorry. We do not find it even remotely enticing."

So if the female folk is clearly not interested to read our tighty whities and straight men generally don't have the tendency to look at male hips, which bunch could these guys be attracting? Yes, you guessed it right. Us! The ogling gay men!

I don't have any qualms when it comes to checking out guys, provided they are incognizant of where my eyes are aligned at. I personally feel that the concept of baggy trousers and low waist jeans is such a cool one and it definitely must have come from the makers of underwear who wanted to push the youth in believing that it is uber cool to show off our undies and in return be a walking billboard ourselves.

But when it comes to me wearing one, I find it embarrassing to imagine even a small part of my briefs sticking out. So I belt my trousers even if they hold tightly at my waist. Once I asked a friend, "You don't feel uncomfortable wearing those low waist jeans? I mean.. have it ever come across your mind that you could be flashing your underwear in public when you sit or bend down?"

"Naa! it's not a big deal. I know my undies will be seen and I'm cool with that."

And that's exactly what I got to see when he stooped down to put on his shoes. But this time, the jeans was pulling down his undies with it, now exposing his crack. I somehow felt it was wrong to see him that way and I adjusted my position such that his butt was no longer in my line of vision.

Crazy Sam's Bloginess: Underwear out

Anyways, back to that million dollar question - How out is YOUR underwear? And to all of you who are into showing off your undies, lemme assure you. If the chicks aren't checking you out, don't worry. You still have an unswerving audience.

Cock-out attitude? Yes, I have it!

So should I be feeling uneasy that he posted the exact same words from The Cock-Out Attitude as his own thoughts? Or should I be flattered to know that he felt the content was that great to prompt him to do so? Also it's a great irony to see that post, which according to me is just a load of codswallop, getting frequent hits even now. Apparently, a reader (thanks to him/her, by the way) who liked the video submitted the post at the Digg-similar Italian website, OKNOtizie resulting in a small discussion, Attitude... Cosa?! (meaning, Attitude... What?!) As a result, the attitude-post is getting much read than I thought.

Anyways, since we are on the topic about "lifting" contents from the internet and using them without giving due credits, I understand that I'm also guilty of the same - for not crediting these absolutely amazing photos appearing on this blog. But the only confession I can give is that when you are busy with "both" hands, stocking these photos into your hard drive, taking note of the photographer's name would be the last thing that could run into your mind. So if you are a photographer and you happen to see your masterpiece posted on this blog, let me know and I would readily credit your work.

We have cock-out attitude. Dare to mess with us??

Hot News (and this is insanely hot!): Remember this post, where I told you that the ever sexy, the incredibly gorgeous, the most drool-worthy guy of all times, and most importantly, the perfect example for the "cock-out attitude", Bryan Thomas was included in the poll conducted by the DNA magazine to let us decide which guy we want them to put on the DNA cover and spread?? (Whew! That's long! Let me try to catch my breath..) If you think you can hold back from creaming your pants, here is the result!

Crazy Sam's BloginessDon't go! There is more! There is more! One of our Indian friends from blogosphere, has finally become a published writer! So from this month onwards, Nick would be penning a regular feature for the Indian magazine, 'The Man.' Isn't that awesome?! You can reach his page and read his debut published article by clicking here. He tells me that there was a rather "satisfying" picture along with his article, which of course he didn't care to scan! Grr!!

Update - Saturday, August 30, 2008:
Nick finally decided to yield to our wishes. Click here to see the eye-candy that was put on his article. Thanks Nick!

The Blah!

The wedding went fine. For me this was nothing like I've ever attended because the wedding had a mix of Northern and Southern cultures put into it. I was actually planning to surprise everyone on the wedding day about the new look, but had to give away the suspense on the night before the wedding itself. As you see in Hindi movies, the night was filled with music and dance. I had a wonderful time, because everyone's attention was on me. They were all just in awe seeing me. During 'Dhoom Again' and 'Dard-E-Disco', I really got the chance to show off. My moves dumbfounded many and some asked me whether I had previously learnt the dance. Truth to be told, the only sessions I had were those that I do daily in front of my comp with the speakers blasting at their maximum. And most of the steps are so gay that could dizzy my parents if they ever see me performing. (Put me some Britney tunes and you'll see what I mean.) So I was taking extra-caution not to make those queer moves during the celebration. But all in all, I loved the attention.

Next day, I emerged out wearing the sherwani and I looked damn good (or should I say, I looked fabulous!) I asked the wedding photographer to take some snaps of me. And he was like, he was about to tell me that. In my opinion, only a professional photographer can make me look good. I not at all photograph well. I might be getting a decent one only after clicking 50 or 60 snaps. Seriously! It's like I'm not meant to be filmed, but to be seen in real. But the most frustrating part is when I take photos of others, they become exceptionally good! How unfair is that!

Loving My New Look

When my parents came home that night, the look on their face was priceless! Mother exclaimed, "This is not my son!" And my father had a grin on his face. He didn't say anything but I could see what he was thinking, "Was there any need to have this done?" Although I know the style is quite out of fashion, getting my curly hair to be straightened was a dream that I was yearning all these years. A year before, when I exposed my desire to the styler, he looked at me and said, "Not possible, not enough length!" Damn! That time, I allowed him to cut my hair short.

This time, I decided to fulfill that wish and I had been growing my hair for the past 6 months. Yeah towards the end of it, I looked really atrocious with the enormous bush that's crowned on my head. I wanted to get this done before the wedding that I mentioned earlier. One of my uncle hinted, "I heard you are going to cut your hair." I told him that I never said that. Obviously everyone is worried that I might screw up the wedding pictures. During the final days before the visit to the hairdresser, daily I used to measure the length using a scale and I wasn't pleased. I didn't want to hear one more "not enough length" statement. (Anyone thinking naughty? :p) So imagine my joy when he checked my hair and said, "Yeah, it can be done."

So after four hours of treatment that featured application of chemicals, ironing, moisturizers and blow-drying, I got that wish seen in action. Yeha! I got the new look and I'm loving it!! I love the way everyone gets a shock when they look at me expecting the usual. It is so hilarious!! Can't wait to give that shock to my relatives at the wedding. People have been giving me mixed reactions. For some, they are totally liking the change and for the others, they preferred the old Sam. They say that I have lost that innocent look, now I have more of a cruel one. Even though I am loving all the attention that I am getting, one thing I am concerned about is my hair has become really thin! And I have to be really careful while washing it. Special shampoo, special moisturizer, hair serum.. God! I am now spending more than 15 minutes on my hair!! And it is seriously hurting my macho-feelings.

Personally I would not recommend hair-straightening to anyone. Google it to know the pros and cons. But if you are so hell-bent like me, then never ever try to do it yourself. Professionals need to be doing that, that's why they are trained. Also your hair needs special care after that like for a newborn, see what I am stuck with!
